For today I want to share another layout with you that I made with the August challenge (using transparent elements in your projects) in mind. On my first layout for this challenge I used vellum to create a shaker pocket in the shape of a sunburst.
This time I wanted to show you another way you can use vellum on your projects. First I stamped this beautiful rose on my vellum using a Versamark watermark stamp pad and then embossed it with AlteNew's crisp embossing powder in golden peach (that colour is just gorgeous!!). I then fussy cut the rose and used it to layer it behind my papers and embellishments.
The die cut rose from Crate Paper's "Gather" collection just fit the stamped rose perfectly and the colour in the rose's leaves picks up the colour of the embossing powder.
It's a bit hard to see in the photos, but I also used some white gesso and a flower stencil to add some more texture on my layout (above the vellum rose). I think the mix of different mediums and textures adds a lot of interest to a project.
So I hope you like this layout and maybe are inspired to use vellum this way on one of your projects :) How do you like to use vellum? Would love to get some more ideas!
