"Love you" layout - Por Réka

Hello! Here is Réka again. Today I would like to share my latest layout with you.

I made a page lately, and I painted the whole background with watercolor. I loved making that page and it was really interesting how this turned out. So I thought I would use this technique again.

This time I have painted the background in stripes. The flat brush was my tool with the Prima Marketing ‘Classic’ watercolor palette. This palette contains the basic colors and it is easy to use. I have chosen the colors from 2 to 9 of the palette in rows and then repeated on the background.  The width of stripes is 0,5 inch which the size of the flat brush I used.

When this process was done I used Cocoa Vanilla Studio is new More than word stamp set with white embossing powder on the layout.

On the photo you can see my beloved mother and me. Around the photo I placed lots of flowers from the same collection. Some of them were added with fome tape to create dimension for the layout.  I have also used lots of butterflies around the gorgeous flowers cluster. I added some hand stitching for them in middle so that they can fly and represent the magical moment.

In the end I added white machine stitching around my page. It gave a lovely finish.
I hope you are inspired to use watercolor on your layout. Thank you so much for your time and for this amazing opportunity to show my works here. It was so fantastic.  Have a wonderful day.

Stripes (yes, again!) - Por Christina

Hi everybody,

Christina here with a new layout inspiration for you. If you follow me on Instagram, it's not a big secret that I love love LOVE stripes!

Usually I use leftover paper strips on my layouts, but for this one I started with some pink acrylic stripes on the right side of my 8,5x11" paper. I've been wanting to use this paint for like ever, so I finally had the chance to.

After the paint was dry, I added different washi tapes in yellow, black & white and pink, and also some pink ribbon because it matched perfectly with the acrylic paint. I also left some blank space to place some stamps and the journaling later.

Another thing I also love love LOVE ist that black and white floral paper from the Maggie Holmes "Carousel" collection. Definately my favorite paper in 2017. You just can't go wrong with it if you want some delicate floral elements on your layout - it just goes with everything!

Some final touches like stamping (even on the acrylic paint stripes - worked out well as you can see), the journalig and some splatters.

And last but not least some pom poms, also from the "Carousel" collection. Aren't they the cutest?

I hope you enjoyed this and that I coud inspire you.

Have a nice, crafty day!

A quick playful layout - Por Rachel

hiiiii from my corner of the world!

Do you ever just want to take some of your pretty scraps and just have fun?! That was my inspiration for this layout - pick a color palette, pick some products I've been meaning to use, and just play. Sometimes I try too hard to over-think it. Sometimes I try too hard to mimic other designers, even if their style isn't even close to mine. I love mindless creating because it gives me the freedom to just be me!

I almost always choose to have white space on my layouts because I like the balance it adds. I grabbed a few bright colors from my paper collection and began layering them onto my page and under my picture. Once I had the papers where I wanted them, I dripped a few drops of paint for some dimension.

I stamped "sweet" out beside my picture - and it eventually became part of the title "ok, sorta sweet" since my little dog didn't seem too happy to be hugged in this picture. I used some old "Dear Lizzy" chipboard pieces, a black and white button, some gold washi tape, and a few Felicity Jane embellishments to finish off my layout.

It was quick, easy, and fun! How do your layouts turn out when you give yourself freedom and try not to think too much?

Thanks for checking out my post!

Roses - Por Réka

Hello! My name is Réka and I’m so glad and excited to be here as a guest designer in February. I love what Florencia is making for the scrapbook community and I am supporting her totally/absolutely. Big huge for her.
Now let’s see my layout.

On the photo you can see some beautiful roses from our garden. These roses are standing next to the sidewalk as a line shape. So this has given me the idea to create a vertical line on the layout.
For this layout I’ve used different cut files. I have used leaves circle cut file from the Clique Store. I cut some pieces with my electronic die cutting machine and then backed them with the green and pink papers from the Pebbles-Merry Merry digital collection by AC Digitals. Digital collection is one of my favorite things that I really love. I have a cool printer at home that I often… or more precisely I ALWAYS use. This is a Christmas themed digital collection but I absolutely love that these colors are perfect for this summer layout.

The next step was to create some 3D roses using the ‘3D catalina tea rose’ cut file from Silhouette Shop.  These roses were as beautiful as our roses. For the roses I have used my own design leaves cut file. If you like it you can download it free from my blog. These roses with leaves are perfect for the layout and create a magical mood. I fell the same when I am walking among the real roses.

For the layout’s title alphabet stickers used by Amy Tangerine. This font and this color are just amazing.

Splashes added the finishing touches for my layout. The color of splashes were mixed with my Prima Marketing watercolor palette.
I love how this layout looks.
I hope you are inspired to use cut files on your layout. Thanks for joining me today. See you next time.

Layout "Heart of home" - Por Nikki

Hello Lovelies,

Nikki from Nimena here :)
Today I will show you a Scrapbook Layout I´ve made with scraps from my stash. I love to use scraps to create some more beautiful projects. Here I use some leftovers to cut out butterflys with my Big Shot. I don´t use so much decoration, because the butterflys and this big sentiment are highlights enough. As a finish touch I used my all time favorite Heidi Shine in gold.

I hope you had fun and thank you for visiting the In the Scrap Blog :)

See you soon
XO Nikki
