Grid layout with acrylic paints - Por Christina

I don't know about you - but as much as I love working with pretty papers and all kinds of paints, I feel like I'm not really good in working with brushes.

So when I started with this summery grid layout, I thought, hey, why not throw that brush away and use: my FINGERS!

Like in the good old days when I attended Kindergarten.

And what can I say? It was so much fun and felt soooooo good!

So I started by applying the circles with 3 different acrylic paintsand my finger tip. The circle shapes aren't perfect, but I find this makes the layout even more interesting.

Once the paint was dry, I cut a black and white photo (which I took in California in 2012) in a circle shape to match my circles.

I then embellished the other circles with all kinds of summer themed embellishments, like sun glasses, a swim suit, flamingos, a butterfly, a pineapple badge etc.

Done!

I hope you like my layout and that I could inspire you to grab some acrylic paints and get your hands dirty!

XOXO
Christina
